i know this two lens is not for the same use.
but i'll be shooting mostly in 24mm (35mm in Full frame) which of these two lens is better @ 24mm (like in contrast, sharpness, CA) Nikon 24-70 F2.8 AF-S (1700 USD) Nikon 24mm AF F2.8 (350 USD) and what about the 14-24mm? __________________

In theory, the prime would be sharper with better CA control and contrast, but due to the age difference in the designs you'll find that this is not the case. Sharpness and contrast will be close between the zooms and the primes, but for CA control the newer lenses are much better. The zooms will win out in terms of CA.
I am not sure which zoom is sharper at 24mm, as I have not compared them side-by-side, though I have used both. I currently only own the 24-70mm. If you scroll down here, Thom Hogan breaks down the best lenses at every meaningful focal length. __________________
