Definately a nice lens you have - doesnt it feel good to be able to shoot handheld at 200mm!!

It is good to shoot handheld , I have never carried a tripod around before when I had a 70-300ED lens and never got very nice results from 300mm , besides full apeture and soft images with limited dof . I don't feel the need for more than 200mm but am starting to feel the need for a sigma 10-20mm lens ....

I know what you mean.

I used a sigma 70-300 for ages and whilst getting some good shots, I found that non above 150-200mm were ever useable, part of the reason I went for the 70-200VR. Like you I often dont need anything over 200mm unless shooting wildlife, which Ill be doing in september hence Ill need to buy a TC. I also have a 18-70 DX which is a good lens and was wide enough to start, but now Im finding I want something wider than 18mm!

The problem with a TC is the reduction in aperture , back to square one . I would possibly think of getting a fast 500mm or above if I was shooting wildlife but otherwise don't see the need for it yet . I also like my 18-70 but possibly for some weddings in smaller buildings the 10-20 will make for some interesting shots .
Here are a few more from today , no PP done ....

I like the "leaves". Crisp with nice bokeh. Good luck with your new lens. I love mine.

I also like the bokeh though one review said it was "poor" , depends on opinion I suppose . How is "Bokeh" pronounced anyway ? [ I imagine similar to boquet ?]

True but my lens with a 2x TC will be a constant f5.6 and for the price of a fast 500mm which would be an f4 id stick with the TC and rather bost my ISO up a stop for now. My needs dont warrent a fast prime at present.
