Anyone found the Tokina 11-16 in stock?

It seems this lens is backordered everywhere.

Theres a store near me with it. But its $700. I can pm you their info if you want to go that route. They might ship it. But when all is said and done, youre probably paying $800 for this lens that runs over 200 less (when in stock)

too rich for my blood when I could just get a nikon 12-24 for about the same price at b&h or adorama

Roberts' is local to me, and they list it for $599 - but backordered. I don't need it bad enough to pay a premium. I'll leave that one for someone else.

Okie dokes. They have it (well they did a couple weeks ago) in stock. Got to play with it for a few min. But even if I had the cash, I wasnt going to pay that much

Have you hit the "Notify me when in stock" button on B&H? My experience has been pretty good, sometimes only a matter of days when they get them in, and then you are at least on a list.

I'm on the list at Roberts' - not at B&H. I'm not really ready to move on it yet, so I don't want to get on too many lists. I'm close, but not quite there.

There is no commitment on your part, they just automatically send you an e-mail informing you thathe item is now in stock, then you can decide whether or not you want to "pull the trigger."
