hmmm...Nikon D80 for $549...... ??
...new....body only. I have a D40 w/2 lenses and would pick up the the 50mm 1.8.....
Should I? Shouldn't I? Damn you sale.....  Rick and stuck on a decision.   __________________

 If you have the money and want the camera..... well?I'm shooting with a D40 and ONE lens, but at least it's a good lens (Nikon 28-70mm f2.  . Sure I would like the best and greatest camera but I will work with what I have for now. |

Well that is a good price if it is not a trick, and has a full warranty. BHPhoto has it priced at $622.00. Nice camera and a good step up for you. I have the D200 and at ISO 1600 the pictures are bunk so I am guessing the D80 would be the same. Not a big deal to me but it's good to know the limitation. The 50mm f1.8 is a very good lens and value.

Well, what do you want to accomplish by getting this body and what will it give you that you don't have right now and absolutely need?

If you are looking to upgrade the body so that you have a greater choice of available lenses or a particular function of the D80 then go for it. The D40 is still a good camera so maybe take the money and spend it on a lens instead.
I think it all depends on what you are expecting the D80 to give you that you don't have with the D40. Good luck. |

sounds almoust to good to be true , better chek the credentials of the seller and google his name with complaints or feedback (focus on the negative feedback see the recations of the customer and his reaction to it.. , never ever transfer mony by western union, moneygram, bidpay.. you have a 99.99% chance that the money is lost and if you get a package the worth of it will be less than $ 0,001 !
