Default Point and Shoot

Ok, aside from my Sony Alpha I wouldn't mind having a small PnS camera. What the heck right? Why not. So I had an offer to buy a brand new:
Nikkon
CoolPix L10
5.0 megapixels
3x Zoom
2.0 LCD
ISO 800

So the question is: Is this a decent point and shoot. I can read reports and blah, blah, blah. But I believe users any day.

Oh, the offer is $75.00 with a 1gb card.

Don't touch a Coolpix Point-and-Shoot. They're terrible licensed designs with the Nikon name slapped on them, and maybe their own processing engine and menus.

There used to be some decent Coolpix models with good features, but they're long gone.

Point taken. The girl that offered it works here with me and she said someone gave it to her as a gift but she doesn't want it.
