Default I was shocked and amazed
Everyone seems to want the Nikon 70-200 2.8. For most reputable dealers, their sites say, out of stock, back ordered, etc. Well I call one of the more commonly used sites yesterday and was told if I went ahead and paid for it, they would ship it to me when it came in. I was told it would probably be 2-4 weeks. There are few sites I would trust to charge my credit card and wait 2 weeks but they are one I trust.

I GOT AN EMAIL TODAY THAT THE LENS SHIPPED TODAY! I should have by next Tuesday!

I thought it strange that the sales person actually said to me that you never knew about these things. He said sometimes he had seen them go out the next day and sometimes take 4 weeks. I figured he was just making me feel good about what I was doing. I bet he knew it was in stock and going out!

Great lens. Works well with Nikkor TC-17EII 1.7 in the times you need a little extra reach.

Also it has been said no Nikkor lens is better than the 70-200mm VR when it is set to 100mm at f/8 for sharp clear images.
