I saw that earlier also off that German web site.

My local camera shop owner said that a D90 was going to be announced soon.... he wouldn't give me specs on it.

I'd be nervous about anything that isn't officially from Nikon as of yet. We just don't know.

Hi, Max! To be a real 5D competitor a new camera needs to be as sharp as 5D is. Not less not more. So I hope a new camera carries
a bit less agressive AA filter - a bit close to S2. THX. Dimitri.

In this day and (internet) age, can we really believe that most (any?) shop owners have inside information?

My question is not fully rhetorical, but I really doubt that they would have special info that would *not* make its way to the net.

P.S. I'm really interested in the D90. If the specs are good enough, I'd buy that instead of the D300 and spend the extra cash on a good lens (which should, I hope, last me longer than any body!).
