This thing is great! and so was the seller BTW I ordered it Friday night and got it Monday the seller was so nice he sent me a few shot that he took with it for me before he packed it up
![]() Check him out some time eBay Store - cu-cameras: A V Accessories Cables, Film Cameras, Consumer Electronics I took the D70 out to the park the other day just to see how it was.. Let's put it this way, the last time I shot in full manual I was using a Canon A-1 lol I added some shots to My Gallery and would like some feedback if you don't mind. The shots I took are really not what I like to do I've always been more into the Abstract but I feel a bit limited with the lenses I have right now. none on the shots have been photoshopped at this time. Thanks, Ron [IMG] [IMG] __________________

Ron, I am so happy you are pleased with your decision. I know how you feel, and the D70 looks like it is performing well for you. Nice images, especially right out of the camera. Like I told you before, now comes the really hard part, deciding which lens(es) too get next

Jeff, Thanks for all the help in the decision making. So far I have the Nikon 35-70 and Nikon 18-55 (D40 kit lens) and I'm know looking for a 70-210 before I start looking at real lenses. You're right about the hard part.. it looks like a good fast lens today is a going for $400 to $500 on the consumer high end I was thinking about a 50 1.4 to start things out
as what would of been my 105 for film but it's going to come up 30mm short. |

Douglas, I tend to agree, although my experience with the D70 has been that the images shot in the shade are a little flat, some would call them dark or underexposed, I lile to suggest they lack a bit of contrast. It doesn't take much to punch them out a bit, all the info and detail is there, just not "fully awake", and Ron did say that these were straight from the camera. Back in the days before D-Lighting, it always suited me well since I rather liked to start with underexposed images to avoid the dreaded loss of detail in any blown highlights.

Jeff, If you (or someone else) would like to play around with it to show
Douglas what it might look like in the hands of someone who knows PS or ? you're more then welcome to it. I have a few programs but don't yet feel confident with my abilities. |

Oh yeah. The detail and such are there and spot on. I was mainly curious if this was a cloudy/shady day that caused the flat lighting, due to what was mentioned to me in another post about the D70. Just trying to gauge what I can expect when I get mine ![]() |
