I was hired to photograph his event here in South Florida. I was the only photographer hired. Oddly enough, no one notified security that there would be one photographer permitted in and I was "held" there for about 30 minutes until the Osteen rep came to clear me. LOL I was getting nervous because we were getting close to show time and I still wasn't through security. Ah the fun we have...

Some of my images from that shoot were used in Lighting and Sound America Magazine in Aug 2008's issue. I think one ran double truck.

Kudos! Regardless of your opinions or convictions and even with "the fun we have..." you gotta admit its the kind of shoot that looks good in a resume. Congrats on the publication runs as well. Surely people who read that trade mag have interests beyond lighting and audio. Maybe it'll lead to additional work.

You really kicked my lazy butt. This thread is about the lens. I own one too and now I realize what quality I could be producing. No more of this, "If I only had that camera, lens, flash, ....." Now I do have to get better, I"m out of excuses.

Steve

I've had the 80-200 2.8 ED-IF lens for about 8 years. Here's a shot from my D300s. I shot it high quality jpg and I haven't put this through any sharpening. It's straight out of the camera other than the resize.
