Hold the WB button on the top left of the camera and then turn the rear command dial until "Pre" is displayed on the top LCD.
Release the WB button, and then push it down again, this time holding it down. Once "Pre" starts blinking, release the WB button, point the camera at the target (follow the Expodisc's directions for where to point the camera), and then squeeze the shutter release like you would normally do to take a picture. On the top LCD (and in the viewfinder), either "Good" or "No Gd" will be displayed. If "Good", then you're all set. If "No Gd", then you need to try again. Sometimes you'll need to adjust your exposure a little. |

I'd assume that the ExpoDisc manuals cover that.
I don't have an expodisc, but I've heard of both pointing it at the light source, and at the subject, so.... I guess your mileage will vary. |

Bryan, I think you are going to love the Expodisc! You have been given good counsel as Michael has done a great job with a step by step and Jim warned about AF "hunting". I use my Expodisc all the time and get "spot on" color. Enjoy! Bill P.

OMG! Thank you so much for that reply on how to use the Expo Disk. I was going into the camera settings and setting it from there and probably doing it wrong. Was to much to take photo with disk over lens and then going into camera menu and set from there so my 100.00 Expo Disk has been collecting dust. Tried a couple test shots using the above method. White balance is dead on and easy.
I dont have D200 but rather a D80, instead of turning off a AF cant you just lock onto any object prior to placing the Expo Disk and then press shutter button? __________________
