Looks like the D80 is the "lowest" model that has a cable release. Is this true?
I need an inexpensive Nikon body (since I have a D80 now and would use the same lenses, etc) for a copy stand. The wireless ML-L3 on my D80 is too finicky for me (doesn't always trigger). The cable release is very reliable. Jerry __________________

The D70s (not the plain D70) takes the same cable release that your D80 does. You should be able to find these inexpensively on the used market. |

The Nikon MC DC1 cable release is inexpensive (in this one case).
25326 Nikon MC-DC1 Remote Release Cord for D70s, D80 Digital SLRs - 1M (3 Feet Long) There are third party or Ebay equivalents, but they are not much cheaper (in this case). |

Shucks
The camera needs to be largest MP too. D70s is only 6.1. I'll be using this to photograph plant materials that are too big for the microscope. So I might be doing a considerable amount of enlargement. I forgot to include that as a necessary spec .. that limits the options to the D80 then I do believe Jerry __________________
