Jammed focus ring? - PhotoCamel

Forgive me if this in the wrong section, but i do shoot with a d70s.

This morning i was using my Sigma 105mm macro in manual mode when the focus ring became jammed. as the lens extends it gets increasingly tighter to turn the focus ring. it gets so tight that when in AF mode, the motor will only turn a little bit, then jam up. this happened to me shortly after purchasing the lens so i sent it in under warranty. this time it's not covered

has this happened to anyone before? what are my options?

i have not had any issues with my sigma lenses. but from what you describe, all you can do is send it in.
