Default reverse ring

has anyone used the reverse ring with 50mm to take micro shots?

I have used this combo but find focus very difficult, the DOF is extreme to say the least. But it does take some great micro shots if that is what you are after.

focusing, aperture setting etc...all have to be done manually...you would of course have to use a tripod......for that price, i'd say go for it...but maybe you can look for other cheaper brands like kenko...just make sure it's metal...

it helps a lot that we are using digital cams...you can take several shots...
