Default Scott Kelby review D300 on his Amazon Blog

Quote:
The Bottom Line:
Nitpicking above aside, the D300 is a much better, more fully featured update to the D200 than I had ever imagined it would be. How much so? Well, needless to say, I’m selling my D200 (through the EquipmentLady.com), but I guess what I’m most shocked about is that I’m going to sell my Nikon D2Xs now, too.
See the full article here.

thanks,
Danny

that was kind of fun. With all the rave reviews the d300 has been getting I think I may well end up buying one instead of a d200.

I haven't read the article, but why doesn't he just snag a D3? I seem to remember a few months ago some observations that he had been using a 5D at some seminars....

I wonder how soon before he reviews the D3.

Like Scott, I have sold my D2Xs, but I did keep my D200 to use as backup to my two D300's. The D300 is one fine camera! Cheers, Bill P.

I would say it's either cost or availability. There doesn't seem to be any D3's around at the present time.

In fact, I haven't rec'd my second D300 and I'm running around town today to see if I can't score one to have three on hand (whenever BH gets the next batch.) Another good option might be to hold off on the third D300 and grab a D3 when they become available.

fuji rumors are

A) a 8/8 SR senor in a d200 - most likely
B) a 10/10 SR senor in a d200 - also highly probable
C) a 8/8 SR senor in a d300 - has a chance
D) a 10/10 SR senor in a d300 - has a chance
E) a 10/10 SR in a D3 - has a chance
F) a 12/12 SR in a D3 - has a chance
G) a 14/14 SR in a D3 - almost wishful thinking
H) a 10/10 SR in a d200/300 with a 12/12 or 14/14 in a D3 - vapor ware -
I) H) a 10 or 12 HR in a d200/300 with a 12/12 or 14/14 SR in a D3 - vapor ware - but my personal fav rumor.

really i think we will see 2 fuji bodies this year.

right now, there is nothing concrete, these are some of the same rumors from last year so keep in mind most its all vapor ware. Nikon did say they are going to keep making the d200 and d200 bodies, odd that they said it that way.
