Hey all, I have purchased a Kenko 1.4x 300 Pro teleconverter. It seems to be working fine with my D200 and my Nikon lenses (28-70 afs and 70-300 4-5.6), but when used with my sigma 70-200 HSM, the battery meter drops and thus renders the camera inoperable.
Any suggestions or could this just be an incompatible combo? Thanks, John __________________

Thanks for the reply. I found it pretty strange myself, but I know that sigma has a 1.4 that can be used with sigmas and the 70-200mm 2.8 HSM is a compatible lens for it. It was my impression that it could only be used with the sigmas so that's why I opted for the Kenko. I know it's sometimes a gamble with third party items, but I figure if the 28-70 AFS Nikon would work with it so should the sigma.
No biggie, the Kenko will be put to good use with the Nikors or I may just turn around and sell it, but I will look at getting the sigma teleconverter too. John |

my sigma works on nikon af-s lenses. i do have the lesser kenko mc-7 2x. if there is a lot of light, it can af with my bigma. but once you lose the midday sun, its hunt city.

Little update:
Well, that was quick. I got the Kenko wednesday night, sold it on e-bay last night and shipped it out today (cost me about $7 US for the whole ordeal so not too bad). Knowing now that the sigma works on all my lenses it would be the best option. Thanks to everyone for your input. John __________________
