The Sigma flash that is... I hope I don't have too much trouble learning how to use it properly
I am excited to get it and start playing around with it! Now to save up a little more and invest in another lens!Does the flash come with a manual? I didnt even think to look! There has to be some sort of instructions right? __________________

yes it comes with a manual that should tell you how to use it. also reread the flash section in your d40 manual.

BadPicKev is right. If you got a new one, it should have a nice big manual for you to read. And yes, read the D40 manual section on flash. You can read that while you wait...
After it arrives and you play, then you can worry about diffusers and bounce cards and such. It never ends.... ![]() |

Well it finally arrived today and here is a quick shot I took after putting it on my camera ( before reading instructions... I have no patience!) This was taken in my foyer at dusk with no lights on, just bounced flash.... D40 with kit lens...
![]() I hope to learn a lot about using flash so my pictures can benefit when I need to use flash. I glanced at the manual *aka pamphlet* that came with the flash... I am hoping that my instincts are wrong about the reading I am in for... and if my instincts are ont ehn I hope there is a good online tutorial to teach me how to use the flash properly! This is my 1st flash purchase ever so I am very very green! * * * * * * * |

Thanks
your very kind. The *stinkin manual* is just that... it is not a manual at all by any means! I have been playing more and I found a few things out about the flash along the way. I think this one came out a little more natural in color? I still have alot of *figuring out* to do lol ![]() |

Thanks.
Yes my *pamphlet* also has a bunch of language options... English was burried in a few flaps over ( yes there are no pages.. it is folded like a map) nothing about how to use it either. It came with a little foot so that it can stand on it's own but as far as how to get it to work remotely? I dont even know if that is an option! |
