"Hi Julio.* Thanks for your reply and your help.* Do I need special software (i.e. PhaseOne) to get this information into the comment section?"

No, it's in the setup menu in the D200 about the 6th of 7th item down the list. You use the toggle on the back of the camera and select the letters you want to enter then select the "Add comment" and hit enter.
There is no © letter so I just use (C) as the copyright and I don't input a year. I have this set up on both my D200 bodies this way. I sold both of my D100 bodies when the D200 came out so I don't recall if you can do that on there or if it's an option in the menu. Sorry. I'd probably need to spend a little more time in Thom Hogan's book to see if there's another way of adding it in. ![]() Julio |

As an aside - in the absence of the copyright symbol ©, the word "copyright" should be used.
(c) is not an acceptable substitute, by the letter of the law. |

I don't have a D80 anymore, but if the function for Image Comment is in the menu (as above) then you can do it on a D80.
The D80 is largely based on the D200 so I'd assume so, but you should check to make sure. Julio |

I believe all the recent Nikons (as in, after the D100) have this feature. My D2H, D70, D2HS, all have it. Not sure if it's on the D1H/X (D1 obviously didn't have it).

For anyone that is wondering, the numeric HTML code for the "©" symbol is 169. Therefore to get it in a post, press and hold Alt and type 0169. This works in most Windows applications (including Photoshop). There are a whole bunch of ASCII codes here: http://www.lookuptables.com/.
