Default My 200 Nikon

I am new to this site, and just wanted to say "Hi" and let you all know that I received my new 200 yesterday, and "LOVE" it.Great camera. Not as fast as my d2h,but a great camera.
I shoot dirt race cars on the weekend,so I need a fast camera,and good lens.I have both.Mack

Hi Big Mack and welcome. I'm interested in how you compare the D200 to your D2H.

Thanks everyone, glad to be here.I love my d2h.I have found alread in just two days that the shutter is a lot slower on the 200.The 200 does have some other features that I like that the 2h does not have, like the rgb color historygram.I also think that the white balance is better, but time will tell.I shoot only at nite, dirt car racing, sometimes in low light,so time will tell.Mack

Welcome to the Camel! I am a D2H, D2HS, and D70 user myself (also some film for school). I've used the D200 some (my dad also happens to own one), and have experienced the same things. Ultimately, I decided to stay with the D2H, but that's just me.

It's amazing how different 37 ms (2H) and 50 ms (200) feel, but I totally agree. Feels like an eternity.

It is. The D200 has one of the best AWB's I've seen.

Welcome and congrats on the new purchase.. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I am also a d200 user. Started off with D100 upgraded to the D70 and then to the D200. I am glad I waited and was able to get something that compared to my F100.

Look forward to seeing your work.

cheers.
