Default My Name is Steven, and I suffer from NAS.

It's been over a year since I bought a lens and now, I splurged and spent months convincing the minister of finance that I NEEDED a new one. Without really knowing how I did it, purchased a brand spanking new 70-200 f2.8 VRII, and I'm as giddy as a school girl. Will be selling 'ole faithful, my 70-300 f4.5-5.6 that has served me well, to help finance a 1.7TC. One question though, is it worth the extra $150 (or so) and acquiring the 2.0 TC III? Yeeeeeee haawwwww, life is good!

The TC-20E III has some kind of voodoo magic in it, because I swear that it's sharper with most lenses than the TC-14E II or the TC-17E II, especially the newer ones like the 70-200 VR II. The new aspherical teleconverter design is really something.

Haven't done any "scientific" comparisons with the teleconverters (I own all three of them and they are well-maintained), but the images made with the -20E III are as contrasty and sharp as the ones with the other converters, if not more so. This was not the case with the old TC-20E and E II, which performed unacceptably with most (but not all) lenses.

......and I suffer from NAS.

Recognizing the problem is half the battle. I too am afflicted. I gave up resistance, that course is futile, so I decided the only cure is indulgence, which I partake of when not under direct observance of my wife.......

I just purchased the new 85 F1.8G, 35 F1.8G (re-acquired) and 50mm F1.8G.
Now, I have a problem. I know where the new 28mm F1.8G is waiting for me (but it is not wide enough and Photozone has not yet tested it).

Problem is that once you have acquired the 28mm f/1.8G, the 35mm lens will become an in-between lens and will become kinda redundant. If you wish to keep the 35mm, I would suggest opting for something a little shorter, such as 24mm, instead. If you need something shorter than 24mm, I suggest something in the 14-17mm range.

I have been told to count my blessings. Nikon Acquisition Syndrome is mild compared to Hasselblad Acquisition Syndrome.

Yee, I know. I like 20mm on FX as a wide. The Nikon 20 F2.8 AFD, which I had, is not the best. I was hoping for an update from Nikon.
