Doubt youll see one fall below 1k for mint. But if you have a D800 quality sensor in a body close to D700 specs for the expected price of $1500, the prices will drop, or they will be held onto for backups.

I will also pick up a second 28-300 lens unless Nikon surprises me with an AF-S Nikkor 80-400.
