Nikon has made the trial version of Capture NX available this morning. http://support.nikontech.com/cgi-bin...php?p_faqid=61
I'm downloading it now, and so are millions of others, so the download is slow! __________________

You know I keep reading about this being slow, but I have not seen that. Seems to run just fine on my Dell.
The control points take a little bit of learning, still figuring the things out myself, but what I have done makes sense and with a little more use should be kinda kewl. Not a replacement for CS2 by no means, but I shoot nothing but raw and I like what I have seen so far, heck of a lot more control. I think the next iteration or patch will see more improvements. One thing I have seen on the web is everyone seems confused about the .NET thing, if running XP SP2 you have the frame work installed already. So download the small version of NX. Forgot, one thing I did notice is that when I turned off my virus protection software this seemed to speed up a little more. Now this could be just a fluke thing my virus software sucks anyway ![]() Bill |

Just downloaded the installer. Will give it a go sometime soon, as I have 5 GB of NEFs to take care of.
