Default Fine art papers

Hi all,
I'm looking for opinions on Fine Art papers to use with Epson R1800 printer. Hahnemuhle, Moab Somerset Enhanced Velvet, Ilford smooth pearl, Red River. Opinions?
Hanser

Hanser, just a suggestion but you may get more response to your question in the Printing, etc., Forum...

That being said, I print on a Canon printer, and tend to print with Canon paper and ink. I have had marginal success using fine art papers from 3rd party suppliers. Of those that I have tested, I prefer Canon's fine art papers, and some of the Moab line. My least favorite is the Ilford line.

I would suggest you buy samples packs of the papers and try them out on your particular printer/ink. Check first to see if ICC profiles are also available for the Epson R1800 . It is a very popular printer so you will probably find profiles from moth suppliers.

I also have a Canon printer and prefer their paper and ink.

I get all my fine art paper at Hawk Mountain. They are really great and have an extremely friendly staff. Plus, if you do printing with a printer they don't have profiles for, they'll give you free stuff if you provide them.
