Default Sea Horses

No not the type in aquariums as you may think, but wild ponies around the estuary just standing in the sea when the tide comes in.
Why?, well i cannot figure this out, its probably something they are use to, and they know its just a matter of time before the water recedes.

I only wish i could have had a larger lens, or get closer to the action.

C+C welcomed

Best regards Paul

A very big thanks for your reply.
It is also a first for me, i have never seen anything like this before and was amazed and intrigued at what i was seeing.
If i ever see this happen again, i want to try and get closer for a better shot, but what the chances of this happening is i don't know, maybe just the luck of the draw!.

Best regards Paul

Thank you Francis.
Its a sight i have never seen before, and cannot explain why they do this, but they must know how far the tide comes in or they would move.
I am of down the same place tomorrow, and i will see if it happens again.

Best regards Paul

A very interesting scene with the contrast between the industrial background & the calm bay with the horses as added interest. I find the bushes on either side very distracting & if you could get above or behind them the shot would be greatly improved.

Thanks Hobbes for your comments, and advice.
Now the highest i can get above this height is around four feet, but then this may make all the difference.
I have managed to get closer to the ponies, but as yet not at high tide which is what i would really like to do.
Its to dangerous for me to go out on the estuary, so i have to take my chances from the safety of the bank, and either wait until they come in closer, or get a larger lens.

Best regards Paul
