Default Wild Horses ......
Hello,
Out in the Foothills of the Rockies in search for Wild Horses. Found a small "herd" of 8 horses in a logged area. Was able to spend quite a while in their company although the approach was tricky due to such open space. Walking slow and low using the landscape and log piles as cover.
Here are a few samples ....

Terrific pics. 4 & 5 are my favorites. Nice to see some healthy wild horses. They seem to be on the scrawney side down here, atleast the ones I've almost ran into.

Just wanted to chime in with the other comments in the thread. Excellent series on these wild horses. I would say #1,2, 4, and 5 are each strong enough as single photos to express a mood and captivate my attention (especially numbers 4 & 5). Taken all together the series does a nice job of tickling the imagination and telling a story about the day in the life of these horses. Well done.

Thank you ALL for your positive comments.
This photography outing in company of this herd was by far the best one I have had in years. I do hope that the few samples did present the relation between these particular 2 individuals during the time I was around the herd. At time, they would just hang around together and at time they would go all out at kicking each other.
