Default Deer Posing for me...

For many years have enjoyed shooting deer, but always use a camera. Out of over 1000 shots in Medina Lake TX this is my very favorite. When showing it to friends, always say she was "Posing" for me. Have over half a dozen shots, from various angles as I walked around her. She just stood there and watched me, even though at times walked within 10 feet or less.

She'd some times lift a foot and hold it above the ground, turn slightly, etc as if I were giving her direction.

Nice capture RJ... and you know me, I just love to hear your stories.. lol

That is cool... I have them come into my backyard all the time and eat everything in my garden. I open the door, make noise, the dogs bark, and they just keep eating and look at me like I have lost my mind while jumping up and down trying to shoo them off... THEN,, I go and run for my camera and lift it to take a picture, and they all run and jump the fence.. no luck with shooting deer for me..

Maybe if you stop running an jumping up and down, you can get some. You may decide the shots are worth giving up a few things from the garden...

Just another catch as catch can Whitetail Doe and Fawn.
Really enjoy capturing the critters a split second before they are GONE.....

Of all the photos Ive caught, have yet to get a fawn with spots.
Saw one once in a State Park in TN in the evening. Lucky was driving slow, the Doe stopped in the middle of the road, waiting for the fawn to cross.

She is one of my favorites out of 400 that live in the campground. Id see her almost every day in different areas of the campground/preserve, she also followed my wife around like a dog. Corn is like candy for deer, and we bought about 50lbs of it a week. Was surprised there was no rule against feeding them in the preserve. We'd have about 30-35 in our campsite in the morning waiting for breakfast.
