Default Mother and Child

Hyenas taken in SA about 18 months ago. What really annoys me about the shot was that it was the first day in Kruger National Park and in my excitement I only chose to shoot in portrait for this. I didn't have the presence of mind to shoot landscape because maybe I wouldn't see any more animals for the next week. Do'h.

Well I like it. Very nice mother and child shot of an animal that we do not often see here. About how far away were you when you took it?

Alisalah, your right the focus is out. I put this down to my excitement at the time. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Whaas2, glad you like it. I was about 20 meteres away.

Lakejessup, many thanks to you.

OK Mulga, now I know where you got your springbok from.
But don't beat yourself up over shooting only portrait .. I've done that as well as shooting landscapes in bloody macro mode!

Wild dogs are hard to find in the wild, great captures.
