Otters often roll up in kelp to help them stay achored against the wind and tide. This little guy took it a step further*

I like the way those guys lay on their backs and just float along. Looks like fun to me also. Great capture.

Thanks folks!

Rob, one thing I do have is lots, and lots of Otter pic's. They hang out in our harbor and in the surf - I probably have over 100 run of the mill images like these:





Sure, they are reasonably sharp, the color is decent - but you can finds thousands of similar images that are even better. Now I'm wanting to do something different, a little more unique.................. I guess I just need to get more creative......

I'm thinking about putting together an Otter calendar this fall - I suspect that tourists and locals alike would buy it IF I do it right.

I know what you mean. It's like phtographing gators here. Unless you can get close enough to make it interesting.
