Something new for me anyways - thought I'd see if I could get anything respectable with the Orton method.

Here's my result - a red columbine:



Any thoughts?

The first one is really nice. You should think about putting a vignette or something on it to even focus more on the flower.

Ahh just looked it up to find out what is orton effect.
well the first one sure gives it a very nice soft and glow feel to it.

Great technique with this image... really makes it stand out.

Although I have to agree with BitterSweet... a vignette would really be the icing on the cake

I do like it, but I get a feel that the flower isn't sharp enough O.o
