Berries Black and White or Color?

Today I made these two pictures:

The color version:

Black and White Version:

Please tell me which version you like more.

The color one is very nice but the b/w one dose not work for me with this pic

Its is flat looking but I still not sure thats the only reason , maybe color just looks better to me for this particular pic

I agree - I prefer the color. The B&W is too over-all grey for me, and I like the gradation of color on the berries.

The B&W shot looks fine on its own, though maybe a little flat in contrast. However, when put next to the colour example there is really only one winner in my eyes and that's the colour shot. I think the colours help to define the shape of the berries better. I also think judging smallish images on a web browser can be tricky.

Color one for sure. The B&W looks flat I guess. It doesn't have much in the way of black, or white really. Seems like it needs an adjustment on both ends to increase the range of tones, and maybe that would increase the tones across the berries, which look kind of middle gray right now.

You seem to have more of a distinct level of color/tones in the colored version, where as the black and white version seems to lack that range.
The color version works well with my tastebuds!
