Default hedgehog

Found this little critter scurrying around the garden. Don't usually see them in the day - it must be near hibernation time.

Cute .A number of years ago one used to make regular trips inside a company I worked for and the mechanics were feeding it 2 tins of cat food a day ,it was the biggest fattest one I ever saw .
Surprised he is out and about at the mo ,he must be hungry

2 tins a day!?? that's more than I feed our two cats. It must have been huge.

I get the feeling this little one is getting in some extra food before hibernation time. There is also a much larger hedgehog that does the rounds in the evening but haven't seen it for a while (maybe I should check the road... ). I think this one will be settling down for the winter soon.

I know if there not a certain weight before they hibernate they dont make it through the winter so give it some cat food ,Only thing is you find it more expensive than your 2 cats
