Default Critique HELP. Locust tree

There must be a story here, but I am at a loss how to show it. Ideas Please as I can always go back and make additional shots. Much more DOF perhaps?

You might try focus stacking with the shots taken with the lens wide open to blurred the background completely. Might give a more abstract geometric feel to the shot.

Things like this are very hard to photograph, so good for you for trying.

Suggestion - I would come in a bit closer so as to get rid of the two large branches (trunks?) on both sides. I would also try using a larger aperture to fully render the background more out of focus and blurred.

I like the trunks on either side. it makes it seam "this is the only route to go forward", like the viewer is channeled, drawn to the other side with the promise of pasture... if only I could get though this obstetrical.
