Default Not a Bird

I have been working hard to learn how to capture a good photograph of birds. With the help of Forum Members I'm making some progress slowly.

This past weekend my wife & I travelled to the Orlando Wetlands to meet my niece. We walked the path for 5 miles and saw an abundance of wildlife. What a beautiful place.

I was disappointed with the bird shots I took. However, as we were coming to the end of the walk we came upon this young alligator feeding on a brown water snake.

I did not necessarily enjoy watching this, but realized how lucky we were to witness an alligator feeding in the wild. This alligator was only about 20 feet from us so that too made it an eerie experience.

Nice shot Bill. It should have been posted in the Nature & Wildlife board. I have moved it to the appropriate board

Thanks Gautum.....you are right this does better qualify for that forum. I posted here because this is where I occasionally post a bird shot. My purpose of visiting the Orlando Wetlands was to get some bird shots and never expected to encounter so many gators.

Great shot. I've been meaning to get over there. One day I'll make it.

Thanks Steve. I'm sure you would come home with some great shots.

Be forewarned there is no shade. You can walk or bike the trail but no cars. Take your lunch as there is not any eateries in the immediate area. It is indeed a beautiful unique area. And it is FREE.
