Hmm, it's a good shot, but I find the stuff below the flower distracting. Did you shoot at your widest aperture?

I like doing flowers too. I used to live in Florida, so we had tons of specimens to shoot. The problem for me was the wind, and the bright sun. Eventually I gave up shooting outside altogether. I'd go and buy some flowers and shoot them inside.

Fed - no, it was shot at f/11...

If I remembered exactly where this flower was in the field that I took it in, and the exact flower, I could reshoot with a lower aperture lol

Unfortunately, it was in a little field with a bunch of other flowers... lol

I see, I mean the shot is good, focus is spot on, sharp, white balance is good, etc. I just would like to see the same shot at maybe f/5.6 or so to get a better bokeh on the stem and bud below the flower. Just my opinion though, nit picking

I have no idea what kind of flower it is. Dong know anything about them, I just take photos of them

Well it is just my opinion, but I think that it really enhances the value of a nature photograph if one knows the identy of that which is being photographed.

I tend to just shoot pretty stuff though :/ o will see if I can figure it out
