tah to all, rence for the plug in and carol for the loading advice! Before and after, shrinkage my fault!!! i really have no idea what I am doing but this makes it easier to do it!

This looks like a great tool. Just a heads up, I was not able to get it to work with CS3. It shut down the program when I tried to run it.

That is strange. Altough I donot own CS3 myself, some friends of mine do and they haven't reported any error.

Did you get an error message? If so please pm it to me (including info about the operating system you use). I will check into it.

I'll frankly admit that I signed up with PhotoCamel for the specific purpose of accessing this plugin. It's great, perhaps the best tool for black and white photography that I've found, with the possible exception of "Black and White Pro" by imagingfactory, which has a very nice option of allowing you to mimic the effects of certain established black and white film types. However, it's commercial software and no longer supported.

Thanks to the author this plugin: now that I've joined this forum, I hope to explore it a bit more!

Rense, I couldn't quite work out how to upload images using this message box, unless they appear on website somewhere - which mine don't yet.

By the way, I notice that the plugin is not enabled when I convert a RAW file to a 16-bit TIF image - only when it is converted to 8-bit. That seems like a bit of a shame: am I overlooking something there?

irfan, in the top menu there is an entry called Galleries. In the 4th entry you can upload images. After uploading you can display them very easily by using the link that is provided.

Another way is to scale the image downto 800px and attach the image to your post.

My free versions of the plugins are all 8 bits, for personal use there is a 16 bit version of some plugins.
