Hi, Photocamel friends:
I'm happy to announce that yesterday we passed the 1,000 member milestone -- days before the forum reached two months of age! Thanks to all of you for your support, and here's to encouraging everyone to spread the word about PhotoCamel so that we can get to 2,000 soon and continue to enrich the forum for all of us. Also, several folks have expressed interest in seeing the friendly PhotoCamel logo on products such as mugs, t-shirts, and the like. So I recently opened an account with CafePress, which does this sort of thing, and the first camel products are now on display at https://www.cafepress.com/photocamel I've ordered a bumper sticker myself, and it's nice. From what I understand, CafePress takes care of all details of ordering, manufacturing, shipping, and handling of returns, if necessary. I've been told they ship internationally, as well. So if you want a PhotoCamel product, sign up for an account with them and order through them, not the PhotoCamel site. I will, however, from time to time make available a PhotoCamel product as a prize to the winner of one of our contests. We also have plans to use the blank space on our masthead to highlight member photos. Stay tuned for more about that. Finally, thanks again for your support, and enjoy the forum! I've used Cafepress before, they do a pretty good job. I actually got some tote bags for a bunch of family with pictures of my sons on them (grandmothers love that sort of thing) and a couple t-shirts. The t-shirts are old and stained now, but the image is just fine still.

Congratulations Jay, I think you've done a pretty good job in such a short time. I'm sure there are many other sites that would have loved to have got such take-up and participation so quickly.
Looking forward to your book 'How to market an Internet forum' ![]() |
