Default Holga MkII

Didn't want to hijack the other Holga thread, so here goes. Image from a local cemetery. Sort of an ongoing, very long-term project I'm working on. Shot w/ one of the new Holga w/ the color wheel flash. I honestly can't remember if I used the flash here or not, but I think I did. I also modify my Holgas (I've got about 8 of them now) to have two aperatures. Never one to leave well enough alone. Tech: Fuji pro 400asa color neg film. Exposure data: Are you kidding?

Very Holga-ish. A nice capture for sure. The Fuji film does produce some really nice colors.

Thats a great Holga shot. I love the colors you get from Fuji film. I've never used one of the color wheel Holgas, so this is interesting. What kind of modifications do you make to your cameras?

For this camera, I was able to get the small washer-like ring out of the inside of the lens. I then superglued it to the aperature lever to get it back to the true two aperatures the camera is supposed to have. For others, I've used a variety of matierials to create the aperature rings. I can't always get the ring out of the lens in one piece. On others, I've modified for 35mm, added foam to make the takeup and feed slots tighter for better film tension and used a dremel tool to cut out the 6X4.5 insert to make a 6x6. I didn't have to do most of that to this latest one because most of it was done at the factory. I'm still trying to figure out a way to add a locking cable release to the camera for use w/ the built-in bulb setting. Any ideas?

well, not a do-it-yourself job, but only 12.99 at freestyle and works like a million bucks.
