Smile 150mm Soft Focus Lens for RB67

Just got my hands on a 150mm soft focus lens for my Mamiya RB67proS which also came with 3 discs and no info... I'm wondering how to install the discs and what the numbers on the discs refer too. If anyone has a clue please reply... Thanks

The disks are inserted into the lens to give you the soft effect.....the larger the disk, the softer the image. You simply screw the lens apart in the middle and put the disk of choice in....cheers....Bob

I should add that no disk at all is the maximum softness at a given f/stop, and that regardless of disk choice, the soft effect is virtually gone by f/8

Can't thank you enough for the literature... I'm a little sceptical about twisting on lens components when I don't have the knowledge... Now I'm educated, thanks again...

I absolutely love mine, but rarely use it for portraits (yet...)
I took this early last fall, when the 150 was the only lens I had at the time.
The 150SF sees a lot of usage on my 4x5 with the RB lensboard I made up, works like a champ and covers with room to spare.

Shot with Mamiya RB67, 150mm SF lens (no disc, F4) Efke R100 film.
