Default Winter wasp Queen
Saw my first Winter wasp queen out feeding and looking for a mate before hibernating for the winter. My only excuse for cutting off various bits of wing and antennae is it was moving around fairly fast .

Thanks loeee

I'd used a sugar/honey spray on the leaves - good for attracting winter bugs. One drawback is the bugs don't sit still but run around lapping it up

Hi lordv , what camera and lens ? I love to make such shots tough i hate these animals in the summer on a terras with a soda ; they keep insisteing to irritate me with there zooming ..
