Default Assassin Bug & Jumpimg Spider

The little 4 mm jumping spider attacked the 7mm assassin bug and turned into a meal for the assassin.

Interesting conflict. How long did it last?

Thanks for your comments.

The assassin had the spider in its grasp and ready to dine on faster than my eye could see. It had the spider drained dry and disgarded in about 20 minutes.

Excellent action series - not often you see a jumper come off second best

Thanks Brian.

Yes, I was thinking I was about to get an image of the jumper eating the assasssin. I had heard how the assasssin bug does its deed but never before witnessed it. So as Superdel says, right place, right time.

Very nice shots.
The jump spider became a juicy spider...
And I believed that this kind of spider was untouchable for that kind of bug.

microcosmos, thanks for the encouragement. I've yet to find another little gray jumper to get its picture with it smiling.
