No, it's alright - I haven't posted in the wrong section. I just thought this was an interesting close up, and looked like something that may puzzle a few of you . If you want to know the answer, then simply attempt to save the image, and the file name should give it away .

There was nothing significant in the background to be honest. Sky and trees I guess. The 50mm creates lovely bokeh I find. Very smooth.

It would also have made a good subject as a Guess the Close-up challenge. Like Shortie, I really like the combination of background colors: green at lower left, indigo fading to black at upper left, and teal blue at upper right. I doubt that you could have come up with a better combination if you had tried.

Ah well - I think I have some other macro shots that would make interesting entries for GTCU so look out for some more in future .

Regarding the colours - this is from the E-330, which has a slightly different tonality compared to my E-1. Not sure how to describe it exactly, but the more I use it the more I'm noticing it.
