Default That didn't take long...

So I bought a $6 set of macro rings off deal extreme. Took a month to get it. It arrived today at about 12:45, I tossed my 70-200 f/2.8 on it and this was the second shot. Handheld, no tripod, no special lighting. So I'm hooked.
Now to freeze some ants and other critters

Holding that damn lens with the rings will improve my upper body strength too

Good one-
did you try presetting the aperture before using the tubes (I'm assuming they have no electronic contacts) ?

Thanks
You're right, no electronic contacts (would be nice if it was for that price I haven't tried presetting the aperture yet. I'm going to toss another lens on tommorow with a higher f/ full open. Shame I got rid of my 75-300 f/4.5-5.6 just a few days ago

I wish it was a bit sharper in the center, but for no tripod, etc, I'm happy (color is great too). Have to find the "detatchable and frequently lost tripod camera adapter"

I might get another set of rings and try hack in electrical connectors for it. Should be a simple job (just contacts and pass through wires). Will have to do some research...
