Default Orton Macro

Thought I'd give the Orton effect a try on this Breath of Heaven flower (approx 5mm across). I quite liked the dreamy effect it gave, althought not sure if it's too much? C&C appreciated. Thanks for looking

The composition and the color are very lovely on this shot, and that glow that the orton process gives makes it for me.

Sometimes atmosphere and color are more important than "tack sharp," especially with flowers. You've given me encouragement to buck the "tack trend" and post an orton from time to time.

Thanks Lyle A. Here are some more details on the Orton effect : The Orton Effect - Digital Photography Tip of the Week at PCIN.net Update

The shots were then sandwiched together in single slide mount to produce a beautiful, impressionistic image. We are beyond that now and with so many things in the world of digital photography, we can now duplicate the same effect in multiple ways.
Thanks very much loeee! Looking forward to seeing some of your Orton shots.
