#1 - Subtle Form
In subtle form, the viewer drawn To petals' form, with curve A rise, a fall, not one being torn The centre missed, the nerve! ![]() #2 - Purple Frenzy Such hues, intense, and many seen From just one simple bloom A line is drawn from three points being The avenue to zoom. ![]() #3 - Peaks 'n Precipices With lens of bloom, and tubes extend I zoomed here to the max The feeling be of message send Of lows, and highs, and caps. ![]() #4 - Bud, is that You? A play of mirth, suggested hence Of one that once there'd been The old, portray in fashion, dense The new, in sharp be seen. ![]() #5 - Mountain Mist A favorite here from the bunch This one it is to me I know ye say, ye've dropped yer lunch The fo-cus eludes, free. Suggest of mist I bring to thee And form then in your mind The image that the eye wants, see In repl-y thus, be kind. ![]() At some point I am going to venture out and discover the impact of using the CPL with water droplets in macro, as these are notorious for causing blown highlights if not exposed for correctly. PP was confined to Levels/Curves/Hue and sharpening. All shots handheld, using SB-600 off camera with the SC-29 TTL cord and a homemade flashlight stand for flash from below. Spot metering was used for the fill flash exposures. Anyone else using CPL for their macro work, or am I smokin' the wrong brand again - LOL Rgds. __________________

What I like about this forum is the wide range of styles I see, from Brian V's focus stacked colour electron micrographs to Kev's Turneresque beauties. I love them all! I think you are very good at managing bokeh and the way you've used selective focus here is great. And even Mountain Mist works because although almost all the image is out of focus, there IS a sharp edge leading the eye into those lovely fuzzy colours.
