Thanks, Athena. JT silk was my biggest splurge when I came home from Thailand. I even had a pair of silk suit made for my brother's wedding in the summer of 87. What was I thinking! I also bought all kinds as gifts. In fact I still have some pieces that are uncut! That is an interesting story on him. Do you remember when it was that he disappeared? Apparently his legacy goes on...

I'm not sure - just remember the story from time spent in Malaysia. They don't talk much of it here. I think here they still have his house, left as it was when he went on the trip, for tourists to visit.

Ironically, up here in the north where I am there are no JT shops at all. Not even in the high end resorts (which is frequently where his shops are found). I think it is a conflict with the local silk producers and therefore not allowed!

First EVER pics with a Macro lens (just bought today). Thought I would take a couple of fabric pics to fit in with the theme and try out the new toy!

Yes Athena, all of them where taken with the brick (G9) and a USB table light but the last one who was taken with the 350d & 150mm sigma macro with an old tungsten globe.
