Thank You Humberto. The Velvet Ants are kind of rare. I always try to get better shot of them but I haven't figured out how to get them tostop for a second. They are always alone and move quickly. Here's a Butterfly of some kind.

Cool. It looks like a leaf. But it looks dead to me. This is a bee fly and I hope it isn't a repost.

Used:
Nikon D300 with SB-800 flsh
Sigma 150mm macro
kenko tubes

The spider is about 4 mm large/small (it was quite an small jumpspider).

Here it is:

Joel and Lyle,

That is a wild butterfly (either sick or overfed) hanging on our kitching window pane. This is another uninvited guest who showed up the other day.

Rickard, that is an amazing shot. It's looks like one can see right into the spider. Such big eyes they have and very good eye sight. Humberto, I've never sen a moth that haity. Keep the shots coming. Here's a big wolf Spider that just snatched a Black Widow out of it's web.

Those Wolfs don't always win the fight. Here's another type fly I think. Yeah, it's a little soft on the focus.

Hi Joel,

Thanks. I'm using a Canon Powershot G7. I'm planning to move on to a Nikon D80 and keep on learning.

That is a great shot Humberto. They look like little wasps to me. Here's another Wolf whose eyes reflect the flash. It was in a vault some distance from the camera.

Hi Riha,

When I first saw it, I thought of the "Coneheads". Do you remember that movie with Dan Ackyroyd?

I remember that from the old Saturday Night Live shows when I was a kid. At a second glance I see what you're talking about.
