We call them banana spiders around SE NC. it weird one fall I have writing spiders
all around the house the next year these are doin the same.....The quote below call them the same but around here they look diff yr to yr ? They are 3'-5+ long (w/legs)

Great shot! I've seen only one of these in my life in the wild and I live in Idaho. One of the most unique looking things I've ever seen. They are incredibly fast too.

Here is one of my best bee shots so far. I took it on Sunday...it is a tiny bee on a clover blossom. I used a Canon 30D, 24-105 L series lens, kenko extension tubes, flash and an index card as a reflector.

Very interesting shots.

My only comment, is when posting more than one image in a message, hitting enter a few times between shots make them easier to see. First time I every saw a Bee Fly, never knew they existed.... Are the located only in your area?
