there's Red:
Jungle Jester: The Jester takes the centre stage Amidst a sea of green And blue, and yellow, leap on page But red stands proud, be seen. ![]() there's Hot: Volcanic Vibrance: And perched atop volcano hot Offset against it's glow The wasp stands still, it budges not It's contrast hence, well show. ![]() and then there's Ouch: Folds to Fountains: It's in the crease, the wrinkled fold The fountain makes it's plume But stare not long, this colour bold, Your eyes soon, will, consume ![]() __________________

I think the first one has too much space above the flower and would crop in a bit tighter. The other too are pretty neat....especially the middle one. What was the fstop on the last one? It it was natural light, you were probably down pretty low and I suppose that is where a flash could be helpful, for even outdoors....to get a higher fstop, more depth of field and increased focus of the whole flower....

thanks ken.
re. your comments, in #1, framing tighter would possibly have lost the "jungle" (areas above and behind) context? Last one, exif on bott of image. (Same as others) - Flash was used, less DOF was required to try to lead the eye in using the folds towards the only pistils? that were curled / different to the others. That make sense for you? |
