It looks like a Sable or synthetic sable "Fibert" used a lot as a texturing brush... think poking and pushing heavy layers of paint... .. I'm guessing it's a Windsor Newton, Series 7 ,12 size. I used to paint and owned an "Art Supply" business... if I'm wrong, I'll happily wear the "Mask of Egg"

Not having any size perspecive... it is tough to tell... but I like to guess anyway... sorry if I blew a secret RDA... nice photo for me in that I can see that the brush has been used very expressively... i'm curious.

Type of brush - unknown. It is a well-used brush at a local paint-your-own pottery store.
