You have caught the sparkling texture of these flower petals very well. Many kinds of flowers have it but it shows up best on the darker flowers.

The color and the texture here are simple and wonderful to see. It looks like it would be really soft to the touch! I think it would be another candidate for enlarging and framing. Someone who loved this color or who wanted to accent their room with it would appreciate it on their wall, I'm sure. Thanks for sharing!

I am frankly amazed at all the comments--thanks! This is one of those shots in my files that I never considered very good. I want to "redo" this shot with more depth of field. This was done with a Nikon D100 in the studio during a period when I was doing lots of flower photography. Another that I personally like better from the same period is here:
