I love those flowers! A chance to photograph one would be great.

I think I would prefer this image with the crop less tight, a bit more space around the flower. (or does that destroy the egg?)

I suspected as much...
hmmm.... What if you selectively lighten only the flower portion at the top of the image (don't know what that part is called)? That might open the image up a bit - give it the illusion of more space without breaking your egg?

Athena, I would love to see your artistic approach on this image....if you like too!

@Padre, thanks for this. I am trying to use a different approach and "eye" on the things that would otherwise seem so static and dull when photographed with the traditional way.
Sometimes I just find new ways of describing things I see that I would never notice as a participant in the world around me. Some have compared to 'zen-like' experiences. Could be.
